Goritsa Waterfall and Golemiya Kamak Peak
A one-day hike at the foot of Rila to the Ovcharski waterfalls, Golemiya Kamak peak and the Resilovo Monastery.

Above the village of Ovchartsi, a few kilometres west of Sapareva Banya, an eco-trail begins towards the Goritsa waterfall, the lowest of the Ovcharski waterfalls. The path is short and pleasant and leads to a viewing platform opposite the waterfall.
For the fitter, we continue up to Golemiya Kamak peak, from where the cascade is seen from above. Along the way we also stop at the Resilovo Monastery of the Protection of the Mother of God, near the village of Resilovo, raised in the 1930s.
