Skaklya Waterfall and Bula Peak
A hike along the Ivan Vazov eco-trail to the Skaklya waterfall near Zasele, in the heart of the Iskar gorge.

The Skaklya waterfall lies near the village of Zasele and Gara Bov, in the Svoge municipality, in the scenic Iskar gorge. Its water drops in several cascades down the sheer rock and is fed by the snows below Botev peak, which is why it is at its fullest in spring.
We reach the waterfall along the Ivan Vazov eco-trail, which links Gara Bov and Zasele and carries the writer's name. The path runs through forest and beside the river, with little bridges and viewpoints. From here we also continue to Bula peak, with a view over the gorge.
